A winning lottery ticket - to the tune of $170,827 - bought at Naval Base San Diego in September still has not been claimed.

The folks at the California Lottery say it's been three months since the winning Mega Millions numbers were drawn, and the winning ticket buyer has just three months left to claim the money before that cash gets transferred to California's public schools.

As Home Post reported back in September, the winning ticket was sold at Escape Snack Bar, located at 3360 32nd Street at Naval Base San Diego.

The ticket had five of the six winning numbers - 40, 21, 51, 16 and 17, missing only the Mega number of 20.

According to the California lottery, the winning ticket will expire at the close of business March 13, 2013. The clock is ticking!
