A second member of the U.S. military is facing criminal charges in connection with the strangling death of Petty Officer 2nd Class Dmitry Chepusov, according to Stars and Stripes.
The Army has charged Spc. Cody A. Kramer with "facilitating the strangling" of Chepusov, who was found dead in a car in Germany in the early morning hours of Dec. 14, 2013.
As Home Post previously reported, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Sean M. Oliver, 34, was charged in March with killing Chepusov. It was in the passenger seat of Oliver's car that German police found Chepusov during a traffic stop.
Sources close to the investigation have told Home Post that Oliver was the boyfriend of Chepusov's estranged wife.
German authorities later performed an autopsy on Chepusov, and ruled he died from “force to the throat."
Chepusov, 31, worked for American Forces Network-Europe at Ramstein Air Base.
