2 US Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan Suicide Car Bombing (Video)

Two U.S. soldiers were killed Tuesday and several others wounded when their motorcade was hit by the blast of a suicide car bomb near Kabul, Afghanistan.

Fox News reports that in addition to the two American troops who died, a Polish service member also lost his life in the attack.

We can confirm three International Security Assistance Force members died as a result of an enemy attack in Kabul today. Currently, Afghan officials and ISAF are reviewing the incident.

Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi told the New York Times the blast also wounded 13 civilians and damaged 17 vehicles:

Mr. Sediqqi said a maroon Toyota Corolla sedan packed with explosives had been used to attack the two-vehicle coalition convoy.

The Associated Press reports the suicide bombing happened near the gates of a U.S. military base, and roughly 200 yards from the U.S. Embassy.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
