Polls taken over the weekend indicate a tightening of many of this year's election races in the House and Senate. Republicans appear to have gained some ground, closing in quickly on Democratic leads reported last week.

Duffy, the managing editor, says Tuesday's Senate contests are close, and control hinges on a few states.
