House Democratic Retreat Hosts President Bush

On a day of terrible carnage in Iraq, with at least 130 dead in a single car bombing, President Bush spoke to Democrats about the war.

Bush went to Williamsburg, Va., to address a retreat for House Democrats. In an unusual meeting, the Republican president set a conciliatory tone.
