San Diego will see a tight mayoral race among four candidates, as well as decisoins on two ballot measures, Proposition A to ban project labor agreements and Proposition B to change city pensions.
San Diego residents will also elect new City Council representatives in five districts, including tight races in District 1 and District 7.
Some San Diegans and residents of Coronado and Poway will also see a close race in the 52nd Congressional District. The two candidates there with the most votes will advance to the November general election.
Congressional Districts 49, 50, 51 and 53 will also see elections.
For the first time in 18 years, a seat is open on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. The race for that District 3 seat is one of the tightest in this election.
California voters will also decide whether to approve Proposition 28 to change legislative term limits and Proposition 29 to increase the tax on cigarettes.
