Battle Between Two Rival Tax Measures on California's Ballot Heating Up

Battle Between Two Rival Tax Measures on California's Ballot Heating Up
The battle between two rival tax measures on California’s November ballot is heating up. Proposition 38 proponent Molly Munger has released a new TV ad blasting Governor Jerry Brown’s tax initiative, Proposition 30.

Despite Munger spending more than thirty million dollars on her tax measure, until now the campaign for Proposition 38 has avoided mentioning Proposition 30. But Munger's latest ad criticizes the Governor's competing tax initiative, saying it allows politicians to take money away from schools:

"Prop 30 send money here but let's the politicians take it out here, that's why Sacramento is behind it."

The animation shows money flowing to a schoolhouse, and then flowing back out to politicians. In response, Brown's campaign is accusing Munger and her brother, Charles Munger Jr., of trying to damage education funding in California.

Charles Munger Jr has given twenty-two million dollars to a committee opposing Brown's measure.
