An unidentified gunman walked up to a man sitting on some steps near a basketball court in Oak Park and shot him three times in the back before turning his weapon on a crowd of 30 to 40 people, striking a second man in the elbow, police said today.
The shooting in the 5400 block of Bayview Heights Place occurred at about 7:50 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
The shooter carried a small caliber handgun and ran from the scene, Stafford said, adding that both victims were being uncooperative with investigators.
