Small Brush Fire On Palomar Mountain Quickly Doused

The U.S. Forest Service moved quickly Sunday afternoon to douse a small brush fire on Palomar Mountain.

The fire was originally reported as 2½ acres but was contained to a half acre. It burned east of Pauma Valley in the Cleveland National Forest.

Crews attacked the fire from the ground and the air.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
