My Space and Early Learning Time will aim to provide your child with a learning environment that resembles classroom-like play spaces in a well-organized and managed setting. We aim to offer developmentally appropriate learning tools, exploration, play, and experimentation along with age-appropriate furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies. We aim to integrate diversity and cultures in our learning environment.

The second show of the season is a comedy written by Christopher Durang and directed by Tyler Richards Hewes and Eddy Lukovic Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia are living in their family home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha. Show contains bits of adult language and situations.

Join us at the beautiful Deer Park Monastery, tucked away in the hills of Escondido, to gain composting knowledge you can pass along to others. • Minimize your carbon footprint. Keeping food and yard waste out of the landfill reduces harmful methane gas emissions. • Use food and yard “waste” to create amendments for your soil. Compost use reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. • Reduce water use and increase water retention at your garden, ranch, or farm. Compost increases your soil’s water-holding capacity and improves water retention. The Master Composter course provides training in the art and science of composting through lectures, demonstrations, and a field trip. The course covers the following topics: • Traditional composting & vermicomposting • Compost bin building and troubleshooting (in teams!) • Microbiology of composting • Bokashi fermentation • Macrodecomposers in your compost pile • A tour of Deer Park Monastery’s composting system • Environmental impacts Master Composter certification requires attendance at all 5 classes, as well as 30 volunteer hours of related community service. Meet new people in this fun, hands-on course and develop your composting knowledge, all while serving your community! Class size is limited. Residents of unincorporated County of San Diego will receive preferential registration. All others will be placed on a waitlist and apprised of space available 1-2 weeks before the start of the course. Before registering, please enter your address here to check your residency. TERI Campus of Life, whose mission is to change the way the world sees, helps, and empowers individuals with special needs, is thrilled to announce that AMERICAN IDOL contender and indie rock sensation, Adin Boyer, along with special guests Jungle Poppins, will perform live at their Rock the Spectrum Benefit Concert. This event will take place on Dec. 29, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at TERI’s San Marcos Campus of Life (Cornfeather Suite/Mountain View Deck, 555 Deer Springs Rd, San Marcos, CA 92069). All proceeds will benefit TERI Campus of Life programs and services for children, adults, and seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Guests will experience a magical evening of music under the stars as they bid farewell to 2023, celebrating with the talented pianist and San Diego's own Jungle Poppins. Both gifted artists credit autism as their catalyst to excellence and are geared up to “Rock the Spectrum.” Adin, an exceptional musician and advocate for Autism and Anti-Bullying, will open hearts with soulful melodies while Jungle Poppins vows to "let music upstage autism." On Friday, October 27 from 7 p.m. ‘till closing, family-owned winery, Pali Wine Co., is throwing “Boos & Bottles,” a natural wine fueled Halloween bash! In the enchanting Little Italy backyard, a live DJ will be on deck from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., spinning hauntingly good tunes for the crowd. It's an opportunity to dance the night away beneath the moon's watchful gaze while enjoying food specials, festive drinks and, of course, wine. Neighborhood Winery, Pali Wine Co.’s creative natural wine label, will be pouring wines for the occasion like “Spooky Juice,” a spellbinding white wine blend, or “Full Moon,” a bewitching red wine capturing the spirit of a North Italian red with a Californian twist. Come dressed in a costume to enjoy happy hour pricing on tap glasses (limit one per guest) to keep spirits high throughout the evening; prizes will be awarded for best costumes! Home Start, a local nonprofit committed to helping San Diego’s most underserved and vulnerable, is bringing cheer to local families in need during the holiday season by partnering with One Paseo for its annual holiday toy drive. The toy drive runs from now until December 13 at One Paseo (3725 Paseo Place, Carmel Valley, 92130). Members of the community can get into the holiday spirit by dropping off new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Wrapping supplies are also being accepted as a great addition to donations. The donation bin will be placed next to One Paseo’s red vintage Winter Studebaker Truck, next to the firepit. Donations can be made from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Once the toy drive wraps up, One Paseo’s trolley will transform into a gifting sleigh. Decked out with festive decor and filled with gifts collected from the community, Santa and team will drive the trolley down to Home Start’s Mission Valley headquarters parking lot. The toys will go to local families Home Start has worked with throughout the year to provide life-changing services including housing, parenting education, and therapy.
