But the star power doesn’t stop with Lizzy. It emanates through her entire incredible band, a multi-generational dream team of crushers who have played with everyone from Wynton Marsalis to Benny Goodman. Lakehouse Resort, located on the 80 acres recreational Lake San Marcos, is bringing back a summer of unforgettable music with its Summer Concert Series on the lakeside stage. The duel of the summer is happening on Saturday, June 10, as The Killer Dueling Pianos battle it out on the piano with songs ranging from the likes of Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga. Meriwether Lewis, commander of the famed Lewis and Clark Expedition that explored the newly purchased Louisiana Territory from 1803-06, returned home from this perilous journey with every hope (as well as his country’s expectations) of a bright and productive future. Yet within three years, the 35- year-old Lewis was dead in a lonely inn along the Natchez Trace in rural Tennessee, the victim of two gunshots. This lecture by Drs. Dave and Marti Peck, based on their new book of the same title, will help shed light on the mysterious historical fate of this American icon. This event is free and open to the public, and there is no need to pre-register. Audience: Recommended for adults.

Manzanita Concerts is pleased to welcome Jeff Berkley. Local legend Jeff Berkley is a songwriter's songwriter, a real deal Americana craftsman. He has a warm, teddy bear hug of a voice and song hooks sure to charm. He maintains a busy calendar as a solo act, as half of his duo, Berkley Hart, and as a sideman in several bands.
