  • Celebrate Mother's Day at SONO, the recently opened modern Italian restaurant in North Park. Co-owner and executive chef Nino Cusimano has crafted a “Buonna Festa Della Mamma” $60 per person prix-fixe menu featuring antipasti, house-made pasta secondi, and dolci. Starters include Frittura Mista with fried calamari and truffle mayo, Crostini di Mortadella with whipped cacio e pepe ricotta and hot honey, and a classic Cesare salad. Pasta courses feature Casarecce al Pistacchio with porcini and cream, Pappardelle al Tartufo e Brasato with shredded short rib and truffle cream, and Spaghettoni ai Gamberi with prawn and shrimp bisque. End the meal with Chef's Choice Dolci for dessert. The interior, curated by Cassandra Builer of Huntress Decor, takes its cues from 1970s glamour blending organic woods with concrete floors, leather, hand-applied finishes, and pops of pattern, accented by chrome, deep burgundy, and muted blue. Cocktails are led by co-owner Ocean Mohamadi, who has reimagined timeless classics with seasonal ingredients and house infusions.
