Join us at AR Workshop Coronado for creative and crafty Summer Art Camps! This morning session camp is $225 per registrant, and runs from Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am-12:00 pm each day. Our camps are designed for girls and boys, ages 7-14. Kids will create 4 DIY youth projects and a DIY ARt apron over the course of the camp! Participants will be able to customize and choose their project designs and paint colors from our decor line of paints! Discover how compassion can empower us to confront racial bias and take action for racial justice! Keynote speakers Dr. Seth Schoen and Rev. Dr. Christopher Carter will introduce us to Racial Resilience, their compassion-based approach to developing an antiracist conscience. In this virtual introductory workshop, you'll learn how compassion can empower us to recognize and understand racism in all its forms and move us to take meaningful action for racial justice, while holding space for our feelings and experiences around race and racism. You'll also engage in a sample contemplative practice designed to ground you in compassion and care for the experiences of others. Participants may continue growing their antiracist practice with the full 7-week Racial Resilience virtual series beginning September 7th.

The performance will explore the music and relationship of John Blow and Henry Purcell, two of England’s most influential composers of the 17th century. The alef beys and your first Yiddish words are building blocks of Jewish identity, culture, and heritage. Join us and learn how to read and write in Yiddish. You will master some basic words and useful phrases. Music and poetry will be used to enrich the experience. Arturo Kerbel is a clinical psychologist (U Iberoamericana, Mexico), cognitive neuroscientist (UCL, King’s College London), and lifelong Yiddish activist. He led a student group resisting the exclusion of Yiddish from the school curriculum, received a grant from the Abraham Golomb Fund at age 14, and from the Ashkenazi Community at age 16, to continue with the fight. He founded Idishe Shtub Mx, a group of young Yiddish activists offering lessons and other cultural activities. He is the current coordinator of Yiddish House London, an informal organization planning Yiddish trips for young people around Europe, Yiddish lessons, Jewish holiday celebrations, and outreach projects in Jewish communities in Lithuania and Belarus.
