  • Join us at AR Workshop Coronado for creative and crafty Summer Art Camps! This morning session camp is $225 per registrant, and runs from Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am-12:00 pm each day. Our camps are designed for girls and boys, ages 7-14. Kids will create 4 DIY youth projects and a DIY Art apron over the course of the camp!   • Lightscape at the San Diego Botanic Garden continues on select nights through January 8 with one-of-a-kind artistic installations from international artists. This unique immersive experience at the garden guides visitors through a festive world of wonder with over one million twinkling lights in various attractions that come alive at night with color, imagination and sound. This enchanting, after-dark experience is set along a beautifully illuminated walking trail custom-designed for San Diego. Lightscape ticketholders will walk a one-mile-long path with suspended strands and tunnels of light, a fire garden, lantern trees, and other artistic installations, all while enjoying some sweet and savory treats along with hot chocolate and other seasonal refreshments. Lightscape at the San Diego Botanic Garden runs on select nights through Sunday, January 8 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $29 for adults, $18 for children ages 3-12, and free for ages 2 and under. Discounted tickets are also available for San Diego Botanic Garden Members and active and combat-disabled Military with I.D. Parking is also available for $10 per vehicle or $20 on the day of the visit. Entry times are every 15 minutes, and tickets are available for purchase online by visiting www.sdbgarden.org/lightscape.   • The Little Italy Association invites the public to attend its annual State of the Neighborhood event at the Piazza della Famiglia on Thursday, September 22 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Hear from Chief Executive Administrator of the Little Italy Association, Marco Li Mandri, on the success of the neighborhood during the pandemic, as well as any new events, new art installations, upcoming projects and new initiatives going on in the neighborhood. Attendance for the event is free, but there is a VIP ticket option for $50 that includes one entrée from the Little Italy Food Hall, a glass of wine, a pre-selected dessert and reserved seating for the presentation. General seating in the piazza will act on a first come, first serve basis. The community is welcome to arrive early and enjoy food, snacks and beverages from surrounding Little Italy restaurants or even grab a glass of wine or beer at the Little Italy Food Hall to enjoy during the presentation.   • English-American singer-songwriter and musician Graham Nash will perform live at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay on Saturday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. Legendary artist Graham Nash, as a founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills and Nash, is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who has seen rock history unfold at some of its seminal moments – from the launch of the British Invasion (that’s him on-screen in 1967, eyewitness to the Beatles global broadcast performance of “All You Need Is Love” from Abbey Road studios) to the birth of the Laurel Canyon movement a year later.   • Beerfest at Petco Park in San Diego is a lot of fun. Tons of beer lovers show up, tons of San Diego beer shows up, and its a fun way to enjoy Petco Park. Best of all, you cap the night with a baseball game. Six San Diego Padres Beerfests are scheduled for 2022. It’s a pregame happy hour tailgate-style party with live music and $5 beer specials (12 ounces) from local and national breweries. Beerfest beer tasting commences at 4:30 p.m. and continues until just before the first pitch. Beerfest takes place in Petco Park’s Gallagher Square.   • The Carlsbad City Library invites children and families to attend a special program recognizing the 2022 Ringing of the Peace Bells. The library program will consist of a storytime about the topics of peace and friendship and a Japanese-themed craft activity, followed by a live on-camera Zoom session with Futtsu, Japan for the bell ringing ceremony. The event, in cooperation with Carlsbad’s Sister City, Futtsu, Japan, will commemorate 77 years of peace since the first use of an atomic bomb in Hiroshima, Japan. Sister Cities International was created at President Eisenhower’s 1956 White House conference on citizen diplomacy.
