  • Join us to fight Parkinson's Disease at PASD's 24th Annual Step by Step Walk in support of the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego on Saturday April 11. By supporting Step-by-Step, you empower PASD to provide essential resources to thousands of individuals impacted by Parkinson’s disease in San Diego County. Your assistance is vital in maintaining our outreach and capacity to serve the community. Every contribution stays within the County, providing aid to local caregivers and families of those in need. Lace up your walking shoes to be a valuable resource and unwavering ally for people with Parkinson’s disease! Participants can choose to walk or run, with options for the 5K or a shorter 2.5K at Liberty Station, 2640 Cushing Rd, San Diego. Register as an individual, team, or sponsor a walker at parkinsonsassociation.org Check in begins at 7:30 a.m., Walk begins at 9 am. Meet over 50 exhibitors.   • This Valentine’s weekend, two of San Diego’s hottest culinary couples are teaming up for a limited-time pop-up in the North City district on February 13 and 14 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Michelin-trained pastry chef and Netflix star Christophe Rull and his wife Wilma Rull are joining forces with Emily Towe and Jody Brix Towe of J. Brix Wines for Hearts & Vines, a wine and chocolate pairing perfect for Galentine’s evening fun with friends or a romantic Valentine’s tasting. Offerings include the Cobble + Sand Chardonnay paired with white chocolate infused with Meyer lemon, pistachio, and a hint of vanilla; the Audire Pinot Noir matched with 72% dark chocolate layered with fleur de sel, poached pear, salted caramel, and silky ganache; and the Stay in Bed Red Blend alongside pure 80% dark chocolate to showcase the wine’s depth and smoky character. The VIP experience is $50 per person and includes a front-row seat at the bar, with a guided walkthrough from the owners on the pairing and creation process. A $35 walk-in experience is also available. Bottles of wine and chocolate confections will be available for purchase separately.
