Start your engines for an afternoon of fun, friends, and fundraising as Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) hosts its annual Cheers for Charity Pub Crawl inviting the community to raise a glass while making a meaningful difference for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout San Diego County. This year's Race Day-themed event will take participants on a spirited tour through three of La Mesa's favorite establishments: Coin Haus, The Regal Bar, and Casa Gabriela. Guests are encouraged to embrace the racing theme with checkered flags, pit crew uniforms, racing jerseys, and winner's circle-inspired attire. All proceeds from the event directly support Home of Guiding Hands' life-changing programs and services, including residential housing, early childhood development, independent living skills training, life planning, respite care, and other essential supports that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful lives. For more than 50 years, Home of Guiding Hands has provided quality community-based services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout San Diego County. Events like Cheers for Charity help ensure individuals receive the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. House of Outcasts presents “A Mythical Quest,” a fantasy comedy filled with magic, adventure and mythical creatures. A young fanatic named Odin travels to a magical realm to save his fiancée, Olivia, after she mysteriously becomes deathly ill. To save her life, Odin must join forces with a band of mythical creatures and embark on a quest to obtain a healing potion from the Witch Queen of the Seven Realms. Performances run July 23 through August 9, 2026, at the Tenth Avenue Arts Center in downtown San Diego.
