Maxable, a team of San Diego-based Accessory Dwelling Unit experts, is set to host California’s first ever citywide ADU Tour and Expo on Saturday and Sunday, June 11 & 12 in San Diego. The two-day event will feature an Expo with speaker presentations on Saturday June 11 from 9-2 p.m. at Marston Middle School (3799 Clairemont Drive, San Diego 92117), and a citywide tour of ADUs throughout San Diego on Sunday, June 12 from 10-2 p.m. For Saturday’s expo, Maxable is bringing in a host of knowledgeable professionals in the ADU space to educate attendees on the latest regulations, budgets, planning, timelines and more. A number of licensed general contractors, architects, lenders and city officials will be on hand as well to answer questions. In this special 2-day workshop only at the Comic-Con Museum, come meet the teenage founders of Cardboard Superheroes, Connor Lee and Bauer Lee, who have been building life-sized models since they were in 4th grade. They have extended their collection to include HulkBuster armor, C-3PO, Groot, and more! The Port of San Diego invites the public to attend an in-person community workshop as part of the next step in redesigning Pepper Park on the National City Bayfront. The workshop will provide the community an opportunity to provide feedback on a draft preliminary design plan for Pepper Park based on input given by community members in previous workshops. Event attendees will also help prioritize the park elements for construction. As a Port of communities, the Port of San Diego’s goal is to transform Pepper Park into a resource that both visitors and residents will cherish for years to come.
