  • The exhibition "La Jolla Surf: Culture, Art, Craft" invites viewers into the world of surfing through iconic photography by Roy Porello, Jeff Divine, and Ron Church, original artwork by award winning designer John Van Hamersveld, and surf boards from the greatest shapers in the region. A central focus of the exhibition is original interview footage with local surfers created by Curator John Durant. Visitors will hear firsthand accounts of how the surfing community developed, how it has evolved over time, and the powerful connection to, and appreciation of the ocean and nature that surfing engenders.   • Mama’s Kitchen is hosting its 34th annual Mama’s Day fundraiser, a culinary event featuring San Diego’s best chefs, restaurants, catering companies, hotels, and more, at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront on Friday, June 6, at 5:30 p.m. The event features unlimited tastings from participating partners sourced from San Diego’s vibrant culinary community.
