  • The North City district in San Marcos is celebrating Earth Day with an evening of sustainable style, community, and conversation at Union Cowork on April 21 from 5–9 p.m. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with a denim shop, swap, and thrift experience featuring live styling featuring Swap & Shop SD, Positive Phee, and a collective of local makers including Sew Loka, eM Pulse, and Avartan Avenue, all reimagining denim through reuse, repair, and reinvention. At 6 p.m., guests can settle in for a screening of the acclaimed documentary "RiverBlue," which explores the environmental impact of the fashion industry from river to runway to landfill.
