  • Oct. 12, 2024 through Jan. 17, 2025 From the gallery: This exhibition brings together a series of new works produced by Cog•nate Collective in collaboration with communities of Tijuana & San Ysidro From sonic sculptures and neighborhood transmissions, to public participatory performance and collaboration with insects (yes, insects), the works explore forms & approaches to border-crossing. Inspired by popular hacks that facilitate movement and sustain connections across borders. The exhibition borrows its title from the popular 1971 song written and originally recorded by The Bee Gees – and extensively covered in English and Spanish – to call attention to the harsh immigration enforcement & policies along the U.S./MX border. All while pointing to the vital need to propose and rehearse ways our interconnected communities can mend what has been broken. Join us for the opening reception October 12, 2024, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. 147 W San Ysidro Blvd Related links: The Front Arte & Cultura website | Instagram
