The Spreckels Organ Society presents "The Phantom of the Opera in Concert," with soprano Laynee Dell and tenor Cole Tornberg, on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. The 45-minute concert version of "Phantom of the Opera" will include spectacular organ solos by San Diego Civic Organist Raul Prieto Ramirez. The program – free and open to the public – includes state-of-the-art spooky projections on the front of the Pavilion by SonderEyes, providing a unique Halloween visual experience that complements the music. FUTURE FLOURISHING: The Table Art Society 2025 Annual Fundraiser. Re-imagining a way forward for San Diego's creative arts ecosystem. Tickets can be purchased at the door, but we strongly encourage buying in advance as space is limited for each showtime. There will be two showtimes offering for this event: 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. This immersive artistic gallery experience will be a fusion of visual art, immersive art installations, live music, and storytelling. This beloved annual tradition gives visitors a front-row seat to watch the sanctuary’s rescued residents dig into their very own Thanksgiving-themed feast. From turkeys to fall-inspired enrichment treats, each offering is designed to engage the animals’ senses while delivering both fun and nutrition. Guests are welcome to bring cameras and capture the excitement as the animals’ leap, play, and enjoy their festive meals. Proceeds from the Turkey Bash directly support the care of over 60 rescued animals at the sanctuary. Have you ever seen snow in San Elijo? Come with us to watch the coyote brush shedding fluffy white seeds that sail and fall like snowflakes in a winter wonderland. Glance at a frosty branch and you might spot tiny pink-tinged “pinecones.” These are bud galls, the handiwork of tiny midges that lay their eggs on developing buds. The Toyon celebrates winter with vibrant red “holly” berries. The tour is weather permitting. Wildlife is unpredictable; there is no guarantee of what you will see. Nature Collective is a local conservation and science education nonprofit organization. They work to restore habitats, provide healthier waters, and increase wildlife diversity. They are dedicated to conserving the land and providing experiences for people to fall in love with nature.
