  • Students will explore the Art of Careers by learning about real artists and creating their own artwork inspired by their styles and materials. Participants will paint an acrylic sunflower inspired by Vincent van Gogh, create an ocean scene using recycled materials inspired by environmental artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi, and design yarn crafts such as bracelets or pompom animals inspired by fiber artist London Kaye. At the same time, we'll discuss how artists turn creativity into real careers. Everyone will have the opportunity to share and present their artwork in a mini gallery walk at the end of the program. This is an in-person program. Registration is encouraged. Audience: This program is recommended for children ages 8-12.   • OTCYA is proud to announce the launch of Stage Explorers Camp, a two-week summer camp for young artists to explore the fundamentals of acting, storytelling, and stagecraft through games, activities, and guided scene work. With plenty of room for creativity and imagination, campers will learn teamwork, self-expression, and confidence while discovering the magic of live performance. The camp culminates in a 60 minute youth showcase of "Madagascar - A Musical Adventure Jr." on the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater stage, where family and friends are invited to see the campers shine in their very first production. No prior experience is necessary! Extended care is available for an additional $50 per week.
