This exhibition is developed in collaboration with the 2026 Community Learning Partnership, CA Youth Leadership Corps Fellowship students from Southwestern College, and the High Tech High School’s students.   • Woodward Contemporary presents “Uncontained," a solo exhibition by acclaimed abstract painter Will Day, on view June 12 through July 11, with an opening reception June 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. Day is known for large-scale, high-energy works created on raw canvas using unconventional tools. Maifest is a traditional German spring festival that marks the arrival of warmer weather, beer garden season, and community gathering. Often considered the spring counterpart to Oktoberfest, it brings together food, music, and beer in celebration of the season. For the event, we will be tapping a special Maibock (6.5% ABV). A Maibock is a traditional German-style spring lager known for its smooth malt character, golden color, and slightly stronger body than a standard lager. It offers a rich malt profile with a clean finish and is traditionally brewed to welcome spring.
