About the artist: Mohammad Khodadadi, born in Bushehr, Iran, started his musical journey on the ney at age 15, He trained rigorously under master musicians, later studying the Persian radif (traditional repertoire) and vocal techniques alongside piano and composition in Iran and Austria. He is currently pursuing Western composition studies at the University of Anton Bruckner in Linz, Austria, and has expanded his expertise to include conducting. Mohammad performs as a soloist and composer across Europe and Iran and organizes seminars to promote Persian classical music in the West. He teaches Persian music fundamentals in Austrian institutions, along with individual classes in ney, Persian singing, and music theory. His work bridges cultures, blending the depth of Persian musical heritage with Western classical influences, bringing traditional Persian sounds to global audiences with fresh and innovative expressions. Composting on your farm, ranch, or large property is an ideal way to manage crop residues, manures, and other organic waste while creating a stellar soil amendment. Join us at the beautiful TERI Campus of Life in San Marcos for this three-week course. We will address the unique strategies, challenges, and opportunities that arise through medium-scale composting. This course does not address typical residential composting or large-scale commercial composting. It is intended for those mid-sized systems that fall in between, particularly horse ranches and small farms. Saturday, March 8 In this course, we’ll cover the following topics: * Neighbor-friendly composting best management practices, scaled to farms * Compost basics, e.g. recipe considerations, feedstocks, and bulk density * Compost management, e.g. site considerations, odor, dust, and rodent/vector control * What is permissible on farms without permits * Composting/water saving benefits Residents of unincorporated County of San Diego will receive preferential registration. All others will be placed on a waitlist and apprised of space available 1-2 weeks before the start of the course. The San Diego Civil War Round Table is hosting a “Show and Tell” program where buffs are invited, for example, to present a book review of their favorite campaign narrative or a travelogue about an especially fulfilling battlefield visit. We also certainly invite descendants to talk about their Civil War ancestors. Amateur historians may even wish to highlight some interesting fact uncovered in research.
