An intimate exhibition honoring the wisdom, art, and stories of women living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. "Dreams Beyond Tomorrow" is a visionary hybrid project by Gala Semenova Photography, created in collaboration with the Womanity Portrait Foundation. Supported by the City of Chula Vista’s Performing and Visual Arts Grant (PVAG), artist Galina Semenova has spent the last year documenting a specific, poignant reality: the dreams of women living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. The Hybrid Vision: For a woman with a terminal diagnosis, the future is often a landscape of "ifs." There are places they may never visit, milestones they may not reach, and experiences that illness threatens to steal. In this exhibition, Galina Semenova uses a hybrid artistic practice to bridge this gap. By merging traditional fine art portraiture with AI-enhanced digital imagery, Galina does more than take a photo—she realizes a dream. Using the women’s own words and desires, she creates "Visual Manifestations" of the lives they wish to lead. This fusion of reality and digital imagination allows each woman to see herself within her dream, creating a permanent legacy that transcends her diagnosis. The Experience: Fine Art Gallery: A curated collection of large-scale works where classical photography meets cutting-edge digital art to create a "Dreamscape." The Documentary Film: Produced in collaboration with Emmy-nominated and international award-winning filmmaker Erin Pedersen, this cinematic screening moves beyond the lens to capture the powerful stories and shared wisdom of these women. The film explores the profound impact of living in the present moment—how it reshapes our relationships, our quality of life, and our entire living experience. Artist Talk: Galina Semenova shares her journey of capturing these "Dreams," joined by the extraordinary women who served as both the inspiration and the teachers for this project. About the Artist: Galina Semenova is an international award-winning fine art photographer and the Founder & CEO of Womanity Portrait Foundation. Her work is dedicated to reclaiming the "True Self" through self-compassion and visual storytelling. Since 1922, the Coronado Flower Show has invited neighbors and flower fans to gather “beneath the tent” to celebrate beauty, community, and heritage. Now in its 104th year, the festival takes place April 18-19; this year’s theme is “Welcome to the Jungle.” Organized by the Coronado Floral Association (CFA), the two-day festival is the largest tented flower show in the U.S. and Coronado’s longest running tradition. This year, the Association invites every visitor, exhibitor, volunteer, and gardener to wander into a wild and lush world where together the delicate and the bold, the native and the exotic, the sculptural and the wild promise: • Immersive installations, inspired by the forest canopy, understory, and hidden glades. • Botanical theatrics, featuring dramatic textures, tropical foliage, layered compositions, and surprise vignettes. • A lush visitor journey with meandering pathways, intimate hideaways, and moments of discovery. • Creative expression across horticulture and design, from floral arrangements to structural natural wonders. The main event is divided into five divisions: Horticulture, Design, Special Exhibits, Youth and Botanical Arts. Located at Spreckels Park, this two-day event includes landscape displays, a variety of floral competitions, educational lectures and demonstrations, live bandstand entertainment, food, a beer & wine garden with locally crafted beers, and shopping. "Occupy Thirdspace III: The Park" tells the visual story of public and collective land use through the perspective of artists whose work has touched, traversed, and activated the site of Friendship Park. This historical landmark located at the westernmost end of our southern border, has been a meeting place and source of hope across divides, later a site of concentrated militarization. The objects in "OTS III" work together to resurrect the spirit of Friendship Park as a bridge, encounter, and neighborhood. Family Art Adventures: Early Childhood are dynamic, free guided tours specially designed for families with young children ages 3 to 5.
