  • Josiah Leming has paid his dues. As a teenager from East Tennessee, his devotion to music led him to hit the road, where he lived in his car and played for anyone who would listen. That took him all the way to a major record deal when he was only nineteen. When that ended, he refused to give up and became an indie artist, relying solely on the music and his undeniable gift for crafting relatable songs that led to a devoted fan base he calls the Bonnevilles. He appreciates them so much that he includes them in his artist name. “They’re the reason I’m able to make music,” he says. 2024 saw Josiah and the Bonnevilles reaching new heights, completing a headlining tour of thirty-three sold-out dates followed by a slew of international stops that proved his global following. He has become known for raw emotion and a profound connection to his audience. This newfound attention has led to much anticipation for his new album — and "As Is" lives up to the expectations. • Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "School of Rock – The Musical" is a two-hour, two-act show (plus intermission), based on the hit movie. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out? Lloyd Webber produced the stage musical on Broadway and in the West End, penning 14 new numbers for the show, which additionally features all of the original songs from the movie. The composer’s tracks “You’re in the Band” and “Stick it to the Man” are well on their way to becoming rock solid standards, while the finale with “Teacher’s Pet” brings audiences to their feet, eight shows a week. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "School of Rock – The Musical," with its sensational live kids’ rock band, is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music. May the spirit of rock be with all who pledge allegiance to Lloyd Webber’s newest hit! Rated PG. • From Appalachia to Laurel Canyon — the many voices of American music. "Americana" is a celebration of American music and the artists who shaped it. As the nation marks its 250th anniversary, this program reflects on the musical traditions that continue to define and connect us. Moving from gospel and spiritual traditions to bluegrass, folk, and the iconic singer-songwriters of the 20th century, this concert honors the roots of American music and the communities that carried these songs forward. You’ll hear the power of the Black church tradition in works by Moses Hogan and Roland Carter. The storytelling spirit of Bob Dylan. The intimate lyricism of Dolly Parton, Tom Petty, and James Taylor. The timeless poetry of Robert Frost. And the front-porch harmonies of traditional folk songs passed down the generations. Though these styles span regions and genres — from Appalachia to Laurel Canyon — they are deeply connected. Each grew from communities seeking expression, resilience, hope, and belonging. "Americana" reminds us that our musical heritage is layered and diverse — and that when we sing across traditions, we discover what unites us.
