Better known to fans as Madeon, visionary French producer, singer, and songwriter Hugo Pierre Leclercq first went viral at 17 with his “Pop Culture” mashup, which saw him live-mixing samples from 39 different songs on a Novation Launchpad. With his work spreading like wildfire online, Leclercq began touring the world, playing iconic festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza and sharing bills with luminaries like Lady Gaga, who invited him to open a series of arena shows and record together. Leclercq would go on to collaborate with everyone from Coldplay and Ellie Goulding to Muse and Deadmau5, but it was his solo work that earned his biggest accolades, with his 2015 debut, Adventure, garnering rave reviews, and his 2019 follow-up, "Good Faith," debuting at #1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic Album. Leclercq’s new record, "Victory," is a rapturous, multi-media masterpiece that sits at the intersection of punk, indie rock, electro-clash, sci-fi and high fashion. Leclercq’s writing is both brash and vulnerable, grappling with identity and reinvention in the wake of heartbreak and loss, and his productions are larger-than-life, transforming raw, personal revelations into epic, stadium-sized anthems that blur the line between fantasy and reality. The result is a bold, daring exploration of transformation and catharsis, an irresistible celebration of freedom and self-discovery from a singular artist at a pivotal crossroads. The Shoreline Pickers band originated from casual jam sessions at the shoreline of Mission Bay. They love acoustic music and enjoy the contributions of the various instruments. The members are Mary Jane Cupp on mandolin, Mark Pullin on guitar, Pete Varhola on bass, John Deckard on harmonica, and Jacob Blythe on banjo. All members contribute vocals as well. The Shoreline Pickers have performed at churches, civic organizations, San Diego County libraries, as well as at the San Diego County Fair. They enjoy playing traditional Bluegrass, some Old Time, and other Americana. The Library's Summer Concerts offer the perfect midday musical escape in the Winn Room. This concert is free to attend thanks to the support of the City of Coronado and the Friends of the Coronado Public Library. Seating is first come, first seated and doors will open at 12:45 p.m.

As part of the monthly First Friday event at Liberty Station, we hold an open house at Inspirations Gallery so that you can enjoy the artwork on our walls, talk to fellow writers, and snack on a few treats. We are currently hosting a photography exhibit by Patrick McMahon. "Abtsraction": A collection of extreme close up photographs enlarged to engage the viewer in wonder and curiosity. Join us on first Friday in June for a writer/creative meet up! Come at any time to view art and meet other community members. Participate in our free get-to-know you bingo to learn fun facts about others and spark conversation! After you come by the gallery, please check out our neighbors as well! The whole NTC arts area of Liberty Station comes alive with museums, galleries, dance studios, and artist studios opening their doors. There is plenty of music and free food throughout the area. The Photographer's Eye opens their 7th annual "(S)Light of Hand" juried exhibition of alternative, historical and experimental photographic works. Juried by Ann Jastrab, Director of The Center for Photographic Art Carmel, California, over 45 works will be on display through October 31.
