Local music therapy nonprofit Resounding Joy presents the 8th Annual Living Your Dreams Concert + Fundraiser featuring the Sounds of Service band, made up of active-duty military and veterans who use music to connect, heal and share their stories. The band has played in venues throughout San Diego, from the USS Midway and San Diego International Airport to events on the campus of San Diego State University. Attendees will enjoy an evening of live music including covers and original songs, special guest performances, food, beverages and raffle baskets. Proceeds will fund the Sounds of Service program, which provides individual and group music therapy for service members, veterans, first responders and their families. The Eighteenth Annual Lesley K. McAllister Symposium on Climate and Energy Law will bring together policymakers, industry practitioners, academics, and other experts to explore several aspects of this transition. Drivers and Scale of Load Growth: The main factors driving load growth in California, the role of AI data centers, how uncertainty affects forecasting and planning, and how large loads in other Western states affect California. Policy and Regulatory Solutions: Lessons learned from other states experiencing growth in large loads, innovative customer rates, large load tariffs, resource planning, grid infrastructure build out and cost, and system utilization. Fresh off a pair of commanding Saturday night appearances at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Interpol returns for an expansive North American headline tour set to begin this summer. The newly announced run starts in late July with stops in 23 cities across North America for some of the band’s biggest shows to date at iconic venues, including a hometown headline festival appearance at CBGB Festival - Under the K Bridge in Brooklyn, The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego, and The Salt Shed Fairgrounds in Chicago. Onstage in Indio, the band delivered sets that moved effortlessly between eras, with “Evil,” “Obstacle 1,” “Slow Hands,” and “The Rover” landing with undiminished force alongside more recent material. They also previewed two new, as-yet-unreleased songs, “See Out Loud” and “Wings on Fire,” a glimpse at what lies ahead. Over the past two years, Interpol have remained in near-constant motion, headlining arenas and festivals across Europe, Latin America and Asia with a show that feels both more expansive and more exacting than ever.
