Utilize locally sourced Torrey Pine for sustainability. Leave with your own stool and a newfound appreciation for woodworking. Join us for a fulfilling experience crafting furniture by hand!   • The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Reverberating Notes”, juried by award-winning artist, Danny Greigo. The water-based media exhibition runs June 30 to July 27, 2024, at our Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. The Opening Reception is Friday, July 5, 5-8 p.m. with over 95 ready-to-hang original paintings plus refreshments and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts.   • The Kingston Trio is an American folk and pop music band that emerged from San Francisco's North Beach club scene in 1957. With their unique sound and rich tradition of American folk music, the Trio quickly rose to fame during the late 50s and early 60s, influencing the musical tastes of a generation. Their unprecedented record sales and worldwide fame cemented their status as one of the most influential bands in music history. Today, The Kingston Trio continues to inspire and entertain audiences with their timeless music and captivating performances. All three current members, Mike Marvin, Tim Gorelangton and Buddy Woodward have intrinsic links to and experience with the original group: Mike is the adopted son of founding member Nick Reynolds, who was also his musical mentor; Tim, a close friend since boyhood, is one of the few musicians outside the Trio who has recorded with Nick Reynolds; and Buddy, who has performed with longtime Kingston Trio member George Grove. They’ll perform classics like “Where Have All The Flowers Gone”, “Tom Dooley”, “M.T.A” and “Scotch and Soda.” Kingston Trio is proudly presented by San Diego Theatres at Balboa Theatre on Sunday, August 11, 2024.   • Returning off last year’s exciting sellout salute to Tom Petty at the OTC, the Rolling Heartbreakers will be performing two classic iconic albums from both the Rolling Stones and Tom Petty in their entirety. The show will feature the Stones' Let It Bleed (1969) and Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever (1989), along with other selections from each band. As with last year’s show, this performance will be accompanied by a full background visual presentation to enhance the experience.
