About the Author Adrián Ávila, Ph.D., LMFT, holds a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and has more than two decades of training and experience in the mental health field. He is the director of Harmonic Development Family Therapy Center in San Diego and has worked extensively with individuals, couples, families, and military veterans. His work integrates psychotherapy, the study of character, the humanistic tradition, and the exploration of human experience through images and processes of observation.
