She is a co-founder of Three Treasures Zen Community (TTZC). She and her husband, Barry McMahon Roshi are retiring and closing TTZC in 2022. She has 7 successors. Nicolee originated the Practice of Immediacy in the Arts® (PIA) an innovative means to access creative abilities. PIA does this by opening to our present moment-by-moment experience. Her book Arte of Now: Practice of Immediacy in the Arts is about this process. She is a retired marriage, family child therapist. She is married, and has two children, a stepson, and four grandchildren.
