Aly Sadik previously worked as a producer for KPBS Evening Edition and KPBS Roundtable. Before KPBS, she worked at KUSI News, producing evening and remote newscasts. She also spent time working on a military base in the Mojave Desert, interviewing and writing about military training units before overseas deployment. Aly holds a Bachelor's of Science in Television and Film from San Diego State University.

Angela Carone covered arts and culture for KPBS and was the author of Culture Lust. Angela has produced public radio programs focused on the arts for the Atlanta and San Diego markets. In this role, she has covered topics ranging from books, film, theater, music, visual arts and pop culture. She also has more than 15 years experience in print media, having been published in various newspapers, alternative weeklies, and exhibition catalogs. Angela has degrees in political science from Pennsylvania State University and in English literature from Georgia State University. She is also a published photographer.

Before joining KPBS in 2016, Kristina lived in Los Angeles where she was a news clerk with Southern California Public Radio’s digital team. In that job, she reported and wrote stories for the web, copy edited news stories and did social media to promote the newsroom’s work. Kristina was previously an assistant editor at Participant Media, where she covered wildlife, the environment, food and social justice. Her work has also appeared in L.A. Weekly, the Village Voice, the Christian Science Monitor, Mashable and other outlets. She studied English literature at California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.

Pat Finn previously served as a producer for KPBS Midday Edition and KPBS Evening Edition. Finn began her career in broadcasting at KTLA and KCET in Los Angeles. In 1979 she became KPBS’ Public Information Director, then Director of Advertising and Promotion, Program Director, and Director of Broadcasting. She oversaw the station’s local and national productions, including the one-hour documentary Los Romeros: The Royal Family of the Guitar, and Child Protective Services, a one-hour look inside the San Diego County agency responsible for the welfare of at risk children. Both programs also aired on public television stations nationwide. Finn has earned honors from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Kirsten Stahl Clark is a corporate development executive at KPBS where she secures corporate support for the station’s multimedia content. She has been with KPBS since 2012 and has more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the Southern California market. Prior to joining KPBS, Kirsten was the Principal at Power Punch Media, a local independent media buying agency. In this position, she worked with an extensive list of accounts which included large corporations and small independent companies representing several industries including entertainment, education and finance. Kirsten also has experience working in television and radio advertising sales. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Science in telecommunications and film with an emphasis in broadcast management from San Diego State University. In her free time she enjoys competitive yacht racing, road cycling, hiking, and photography.

Hilary Andrews has worked for KPBS since 2009 as a student producer and call screener for "Midday Edition," a production assistant for San Diego Week, and a newsroom assistant. Hilary currently attends San Diego State University where she is pursuing Bachelor of Science in zoology and TV & film production. She hopes to eventually earn a PhD in ecology and go on to make wildlife documentaries as a video journalist and field researcher. Hilary is a San Diego native and alumni of Patrick Henry High School. She is currently a member of the academic honor societies Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key International, Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Eta Sigma. Outside of work, Hilary enjoys going out on bat surveys throughout Southern California with the San Diego Natural History Museum, photography, taxidermy, making short films and documentaries, and riding her vespa.

Jill Replogle is a Fronteras reporter in San Diego. She has been a journalist for more than 10 years, reporting from Central America, Mexico, and California. She has produced radio and video features for PRI's The World, KALW (San Francisco), Current TV, and the Video Journalism Movement. Her print stories have been published in The Miami Herald, Time.com, The Christian Science Monitor and the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as in Guatemalan newspapers SigloXXI, ElPeriodico and Inforpress Centroamericana. Jill has a bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Colorado Boulder and a master's degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. She's covered everything from local and international politics, to crime and drug violence, to environmental and public health issues. When she's not on the job, you might find her biking, scrambling up a rock somewhere, or otherwise exploring the outdoors.

Laura Wingard previously served as a news and digital editor. In that role, she managed a team of producers responsible for presenting news stories and features for KPBS’ online audience and promoting those stories through social media. Laura joined KPBS after working as a top editor at three metropolitan newspapers in California and Nevada, including The San Diego Union-Tribune. As metro editor at the U-T, she directed coverage of the October 2007 wildfires and the 2010 disappearance of Poway teenager Chelsea King. She also oversaw the reporting on San Diego's pension crisis and the resignation of Mayor Dick Murphy. Before joining the U-T, Laura worked at the Las Vegas Review-Journal as the city editor and as an award-winning reporter covering the environment and politics. She also was the assistant managing editor for metro at The Press-Enterprise in Riverside. She earned her bachelor's degree at California State University, Fullerton, with a double major in communications/journalism and political science.

Doug Myrland officially retired as KPBS’ general manager at the end of 2008. He served in that position for 15 years. During his tenure at KPBS, he oversaw the stations TV, radio and internet operations; expanded the KPBS radio news department; and invested in the growth of KPBS.org. He also helped broker the deal that allowed KPBS to acquire KQVO in Calexico in the fall of 2004, providing the Imperial Valley community the first English language public radio service. Prior to February 1993, Myrland served as KPBS marketing and communications manager. In that position he was responsible for overseeing all fund-raising and promotion for the stations. Myrland came to San Diego in 1991 from Minneapolis where he was director for broadcast and affiliate services/director of marketing for American Public Radio (now Public Radio International). Prior to that he worked at KJZZ-FM in Phoenix, Arizona as program director/operations manager. Myrland is a graduate of St. Mary's College of California with a bachelor of science in business administration. During his retirement he will be heard on KPBS radio from time to time filling in for vacationing hosts.

Jose Luis Jiménez joined KPBS in August 2010 as the Social Media/Web Editor for Fronteras: The Changing America Desk. His duties include using social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter, to distribute print stories, audio tales and videos produced by Fronteras reporters to as wide an audience as possible. He also uses these platforms to identify communities on the Internet to engage in a conversation about what is happening along the U.S.-Mexico border and in the Southwest. The social media platforms are also used to help reporters find sources and ideas for stories. Jose has been a journalist since 1993, starting his career at media outlets in Florida before moving to California in 2000. Prior to joining KPBS, he worked at the San Diego Union-Tribune covering numerous beats, including the border region and Mexico. His last assignment at the Union-Tribune was as an editor for both the daily newspaper and the website. When not working, he volunteers with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and serves as treasurer for the local chapter of CCNMA: Latino Journalists of California. One of the group’s main projects is to host an annual media workshop that teaches high school students about journalism and encourages them to enter the field. Jose was born and raised on the island of St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands and graduated from Florida International University with a double major in journalism and political science.
