  • ArtReach is excited to announce our 2026 Annual Charity Art Auction! Youth and adult artists have been invited to transform recycled vinyl records into bold, one-of-a-kind works of art for this fundraiser that supports creative expression and community impact, while helping make art accessible to young people across San Diego County. This special project brings together creativity, community, and giving. Selected artworks will be featured in an online charity auction and exhibited in person at the 42nd Annual Mission Fed ArtWalk, with proceeds supporting both the participating artists and ArtReach’s free and low-cost visual arts programs for youth and families. The pieces will be available through an online auction starting April 19, 2025, and will be on public display at Mission Fed ArtWalk on April 25t & 26 at Booths 840 & 841 on India Street. While the auction takes place online and is open to anyone nationwide, ArtReach has partnered with ArtWalk since 2019 to showcase the art at their outdoor festivals. These events provide local and visiting attendees the opportunity to view the auction items in person and place bids in person. Interested bidders can get updates here: artreachsandiego.org/charityartauction/ Mission Fed ArtWalk is a free event, and you can learn more here: https://www.artwalksandiego.org/missionfed/ ArtReach San Diego on Facebook / Instagram

  • Step into The Flower Fields before the season is in full bloom and the crowds arrive. These early-season sessions offer a rare chance to enjoy the beauty of the gardens in a quieter, more intimate way. You’ll be guided through gentle breathwork and meditation before settling into the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls and sound instruments. Together, these practices create space to release tension, calm the mind, and reconnect with yourself. After class, take your time wandering the fields, carrying that sense of peace with you as you explore the blooms at your own pace. Your ticket includes Flower Fields entry and all event materials. Simply come in comfortable clothes, ready to relax, receive, and restore. This event is rain or shine. Light rain, mist, or overcast conditions will not cancel the event. In the case of unsafe weather conditions (including heavy rain, lightning, or high winds), we may delay the start time or adjust the class format to ensure a safe and positive experience for all participants. • Few bands in American music history can match the legacy of "Chicago." Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and recipients of the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award, "Chicago" stands as one of the most successful and enduring groups of all time. With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, 21 Top 10 singles, 11 No. 1 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, and 25 platinum-certified records, their impact is both massive and measurable. Billboard ranked "Chicago" as the highest-charting American band in its Top 125 Artists of All Time, and they remain the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades. Signature songs like “25" or "6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Make Me Smile,” and “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day”, helped define a generation, blending rock, pop, and jazz into a bold, horn-driven sound that became unmistakably their own. Their groundbreaking 1969 debut, "Chicago Transit Authority," was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and later added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress, recognizing its cultural and historical significance. Songwriters Robert Lamm and James Pankow were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, further cementing the band’s creative influence. "Chicago’s" accolades also include two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, designation as Founding Artists of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and countless civic honors from cities across the country. Remarkably, "Chicago" has toured every year since forming in 1967—never missing a year. In 2025, they mark their 58th consecutive year on the road. Original members Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane, and James Pankow continue to anchor a dynamic lineup that brings the band’s iconic horn section and beloved catalog to stages worldwide. Recent releases—including expanded anniversary editions, archival live recordings, holiday collections, and new studio work—demonstrate a band that continues to celebrate its history while staying active and engaged. From arena anthems to intimate ballads, "Chicago’s" concerts are more than performances—they’re celebrations of a catalog that has become woven into the fabric of American music. Nearly six decades in, "Chicago" remains a true ambassador for its hometown and a living testament to longevity, musicianship, and timeless songwriting.
