  • Joseph Bellows Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming group exhibition, San Diego Views. Based on the regional twelve print portfolio published by Photographs Incorporated, the exhibition will feature the portfolio in the gallery’s atrium space while expanding and giving context to the artists’ work with an extended group show in the main gallery. This unique exhibition will run May 2 to Jun. 10, with an opening reception Friday, May 6 from 5–8 p.m. San Diego Views showcases the photographic work of scott b. davis, John Hogan, Suda House, Adriene Hughes, Farrah Karapetian, Stephen Arthur Milner, Michael Mulno, Han Nguyen, Philipp Scholz Rittermann, Paul Turounet, Rebecca Webb, and Joe Yorty. Rather than attempting to define a particular local style or shared thematic concern, the diverse pursuits of the participating artists provide a spectrum to view and celebrate contemporary photography in San Diego. Though each of the twelve photographers approaches the medium differently, their objectives are realized with care and an astute rendering of the photographic object itself, conveying the printed picture's specific meanings and inherent qualities. San Diego Views offers the unique perceptions of each artist by defining a particular subject within the wide-ranging field of their elected medium. San Diego Views will be on display during the Medium Festival of Photography to support local photographers. For more information, please visit the gallery’s website at www.josephbellows.com.
