Ballet Folklorico Ti-Pai and Ballet Folklorico Kumeyaay will be dancing traditional dances of Mexico in a wedding themed showcase. Ballet Folklorico Ti-Pai was founded in December 2014 by its general director Eduardo Romero Murillo in the San Diego County. The main objective of the group is to promote Mexican Ballet Folklore dance arts locally, and internationally. With just 10 years of the group being founded, it has showcased traditional Dances of Mexico throughout San Diego, Tijuana and Rosarito, Las Vegas, Salinas CA. as well as winning first place and second place here at the Fiesta de Reyes competition in 2017, second place in 2018, First Place in 2019 and 1st place at Las Vegas Dance Competition. Under the general direction of Eduardo Romero & artistic director Mariana Perezchica we present to you “Ballet Folklorico Ti-Pai.”

Everyone has a story to tell—what’s yours? The Storytellers of San Diego invite you to explore the art of sharing stories from your own life, your grandparents, your friends, or your imagination! Each workshop focuses on a different element of storytelling, helping you bring real experiences to life and connect with others through the power of story. Participants will have the chance to showcase their new skills at the San Diego Storytelling Festival on March 21, 2026. Registration is requested for the February 3 introductory session. All other sessions are walk-in, no registration. March 3: “Tying it All Together” with Aunt Li-Anne Bring everything together in this final workshop designed to help you shape a complete, cohesive story ready to share on stage. Participants will polish their performances and learn tips for connecting with an audience—culminating in the chance to tell their story at the upcoming storytelling festival. Aunt Li-Anne is a storyteller, singer, actor and healer. She has been performing in local theaters and teaching drama workshops for more than twenty years. Aunt Li-Anne’s Story Garden has fun programs for parties, schools or other events. Directed by San Diego resident and world-renowned underwater cinematographer Howard Hall, "Deep Sea" will transport audiences deep below the ocean surface to swim with some of the most exotic creatures on the planet, from the bizarre Rainbow Nudibranch to the Giant Pacific Octopus. Complementing the educational mission of the Fleet, "Deep Sea" will inspire audiences, not only with breathtaking views of the tremendous diversity of marine life but also by illustrating the importance of interrelationships between animals to the health of the environment. From the mantis shrimp—who engages in a one-on-one, matador-like challenge with a threatening octopus—to the green sea turtle—who allows schools of fish aestheticians to clean its shell of unwanted algae—the film focuses on the unusual and often surprising alliances struck between some of the world’s most extraordinary animals.
