Taking place on May 17, 2026, The Arcades music festival will showcase the Conrad Prebys Music Center reimagined, presenting over 7 hours of music spanning the entire building. This is definitely an experience that is not one to be missed! The Arcades, an undergraduate collage of music, is a UC San Diego student-led music festival seeking to showcase undergraduate talent. Featuring genres ranging from opera to hardcore metal and everything in between, the inaugural edition of The Arcades is an exciting synthesis of the diversity and talent that UC San Diego's student population has to offer. Organized by a team of undergraduate students, the idea for a student-run festival was initiated by Professor Steven Schick. Programming, administrative matters, live audio and sound, marketing, as well as performances will feature undergraduates at the forefront, providing them with the exciting opportunity to showcase their talents at a world-class institution. The Arcades will spotlight hundreds of talented musicians with many of these performers having their live audience debut at the festival.

A fun monthly discussion group for teenagers revolving around short literary media, including short stories, poetry, picture books, newspaper articles, and more. ImprovCon is a new 3.5-day event dedicated to the art and craft of improvisational theater, taking place August 20–23, 2026 at the Town and Country Resort. The event brings together performers, teachers, and audiences for a weekend of live performances, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions exploring the full range of modern improv. The inaugural lineup features acclaimed artists including TJ Jagodowski and David Pasquesi, Scott Adsit, Jet Eveleth, Susan Messing, and Rachael Mason, along with groups like Asian AF and 3Peat, with additional artists to be announced. Programming spans long-form and experimental improv, comedy, storytelling, and hybrid formats, offering opportunities for both seasoned performers and those new to the art form to engage with the work on stage and in the classroom. In addition to scheduled programming, ImprovCon emphasizes community and connection, creating space for collaboration and conversation among artists and audiences throughout the weekend. Passes are available in advance, and the event is currently accepting submissions for performers, educators, and panelists through April 30, 2026. Play Pass: $200 for full 3.5-day access to performances, panels, and select workshops. A limited number of early-bird passes are available at $150. Patron Pass: $400.
