For those using oils: French easel or lap easel; stretched canvas or canvas board, up to 16” x 20”; brushes #1, 2, 4, 6, 8 (two of each); odorless Gamsol thinner; small cup or jar; rags; small hand mirror (for seeing errors in reverse); a warm and cool tube of at least seven colors: Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Raw Sienna, Cadmium Yellow Light, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Ivory Black, Titanium White. Optional: Raw Umber, Scarlet Lake. For those using acrylics: at least the same range of colors as the oil painters.
