"The Audacity of Impressionism" is an engaging biography that explores Camille Pissarro—often called the father of Impressionism—and how his Jewish heritage and independent spirit shaped his life and art, drawing on his work, letters, and close relationships with artists like Monet, Degas, and Cézanne.
