  • Fan favorite Peanuts is returning to San Diego Comic-Con, and they’re inviting you to celebrate 50 years of the Beagle Scouts with them, as well as the upcoming Apple TV+ series CAMP SNOOPY, with merchandise, a pop-up, panel, and more. In the Gaslamp, Peanuts will be setting up camp at 200 J. Street, Suite 105 for a "Camp Snoopy" and “Beagle Scouts” pop-up. Attendees will find plenty of activities, with bird spotting (how many Woodstocks and his fellow Beagle Scout bird friends can you spot?), learning how to read a Peanuts-themed compass, and a writing-letters home station (“Send cookies!”). The offsite will also feature merch, including an adorable Woodstock Youtooz plush, Pintrill pins of Snoopy and the Beagle Scouts; iron-on merit badges; a Snoopy canteen; a compass; a burritote (for keeping your burrito warm, of course!). And with prices ranging from $10 to $25, you can snag what you want while still saving some pennies for the booth merchandise. The pop-up will be open Thursday, July 20 – Sunday, July 23 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily. On the show floor of the Convention Center, you’ll find Peanuts at Booth #1635, where you’ll be a happy camper to discover Snoopy himself, making in-person appearances throughout the con.   • The San Diego Animal Sanctuary & Farm, a 20-acre farm in Alpine, is hosting its 11th annual fundraising gala at the Bahia Resort Hotel on Saturday, December 2nd at 5:30 p.m. with “Disco Wonderland” as this year’s theme. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the event will kick off with a cocktail reception, followed by a three-course gourmet dinner and dancing. Guests will also be able to participate in live and silent auctions. All money raised throughout the evening will support the Foundation’s mission, expanding its resources and farming operations. The evening will also provide a much-needed influx in cash flow and allow the farm to repair shelters and fences while enabling veterinary care as needed.   • The final performance of San Diego Unified School District’s (SDUSD) middle school honor band and orchestra will occur on Saturday, February 4 at Point Loma Nazarene University from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It features the finest middle school Honor Band students. These are auditioned groups, including the best players selected to rehearse and perform under the direction of two special guest conductors for an enriching musical experience. This lecture series was established in 1984 to honor Nathaniel L. Nathanson, an esteemed law professor who devoted his life to the law and legal education.
