With acrylic paint, watercolors, oil pastels, and more, students will explore a variety of surfaces and materials to bring their imaginations to life. Inspired by popular artists and treasured storybooks, each day is a new adventure celebrating self-expression, encouraging confidence, and spreading the joy of making art. To the canvas and beyond! Erica Hurley is a third grade teacher at Gillispie School. She recently returned to college and fulfilled her goal of earning a CA single-subject teaching credential in art. She is thrilled to begin a new chapter as an art teacher. She especially enjoys mixed media and three-dimensional art. When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Hurley can be found spending time with her two children, gardening, baking, and of course, making art!   • We will make beautiful bamboo mixed media art! Our classes are designed for adults. Children ages 10 and up are welcome if they can focus and work independently for the duration of the class. (*If a child participates, a parent or guardian must stay with them throughout the class to provide support. Our Team San Diego Super Bloom is the professional ultimate team that’s affiliated with our organization. We compete in the Western Ultimate League (WUL) against several other professional teams on the West Coast. Our Sport With over five million participants in the United States and counting, ultimate Frisbee—or simply “ultimate”—is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Ultimate is a non-contact, self-officiated team sport with a heavy emphasis on sportsmanship. In 2014, the International Olympic Committee recognized it as an official sport.
