  • The Miss Black Global Pageant is a national pageant based out of Southern California. The pageant promotes outstanding achieve among Black women of all ages. Contestants of Black heritage from around the U.S. compete for a chance to win a national title. Prize award package includes scholarships and more. Director Sandra Knight Mayes, a 35-year pageantry veteran started the pageant over 6 years ago to offer Black women of extraordinary achievement the opportunity to promote Black excellence and to set a standard of achievement attainable to women interested in making a bold statement in their communities. There are 10 competitive Divisions to compete in ranging from Baby Miss Black Global through Mrs. Black Global and International Miss Black Global.   • The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its Community Resource Expo will take place on February 8, 2025 at the Encinitas Community Center located at 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive in Encinitas. This free, public event, in partnership with the City of Encinitas, is an opportunity for the expected 300+ attendees to discover more than 40 local businesses, services, goods and attractions. Members of the community can meet exhibitors from local businesses in industries such as: Estate Planning, Finance, Fitness, Health, Insurance, Real Estate, Senior Services, Travel, Wealth Management, Wellness, and more. "One of the most powerful aspects of community events is the opportunity for people to connect face-to-face," said Sherry Yardley, CEO of the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce. "When local businesses and residents come together, it creates an invaluable opportunity for both sides to engage in meaningful conversations allowing residents to ask questions, share feedback, and form relationships with business owners they might not otherwise meet." Cheval Winery is nestled in the countryside of Escondido and is a beautiful estate with a breathtaking view. The Tipsy Barrel Tasting Room is your next go-to spot. Painting and Vino of Vista will be holding paint and sips at this location, so make sure to check out their monthly calendar HERE for the next class! This venue is dog-friendly and wheel wheelchair accessible. This venue does not offer food but has visiting food vendors (make sure to contact the venue to see if there is a food truck visiting on the day of the event). Feel free to bring snacks, or make sure that you can get a bite to eat before our paint-and-sip event. Plenty of parking is available. This is a 21+ venue. Hours of operation are Friday 4-7 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Don’t miss out on this delightful experience! We encourage artistic freedom! You can alter the painting to fit your style and use any of our colors. Things to know: We require a 48-hour notice for cancellations/rescheduling. Refunds must be requested within 3 days of purchase. After 3 days a credit will be given. Check-in begins 15 minutes before the event start time. Give yourself time to park to avoid arriving late. No outside food or drink is allowed. They are available for purchase. Wine is not included in your ticket purchase. If you have any questions about the event, feel free to contact customer service.
