This retelling celebrates the Cuban people's desire for socialism and autonomy in the shadow of American economic interests. Lively classic Cuban music scores the tropical Christmas tale of a greedy man who finds personal redemption and a new social consciousness. The production includes 10 actors and a four-piece Cuban band bringing the traditional sounds of Cuba to this adaptation of a well-known story of Christmas loss and forgiveness. A People’s Cuban Christmas Tale opens Thursday, December 2 at 8 p.m. The play with be showing Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. from December 2 through December 19.
