  • The Los Angeles Basketry Guild and Misti Washington Gourd & Basket Guild proudly present Special classes with Lissa-Jane de Sailles. Four 1-day, 8-hour workshops with 12 students maximum. Lissa-Jane de Sailles lives and works on Jerrinja/Wandi Wandian Land on the south east coast of New South Wales, Australia. Lissa-Jane teaches fiber art locally and internationally and works with basketry techniques to create sculptural forms and installations with locally foraged natural fibers and textiles. This is a rare opportunity for students to learn from an Australian basketry artist! Two classes in Los Angeles area are September 21 & 22, 2024, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Two classes in San Diego area (El Cajon) are September 28 & 29, 2024, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Classes are for all levels of experience and cost for each is $95 (price covers class fee, materials and teacher preparation and expenses). This is a great opportunity for people who love to sing to enjoy some fun, inclusive musical activities.
