  • Meow, do you know how fast you were going? "Super Troopers 3" is rolling into San Diego Comic-Con with exclusive merch giveaways and themed experiences. Taking over Hasta Mañana Cantina (310 Fifth Avenue) in the Gaslamp Quarter, the three-day activation gives fans a chance to celebrate the upcoming film just steps from the San Diego Convention Center. Guests can enjoy complimentary pancakes served with Crown Maple syrup each morning, roll a few putts on the Bogey Bros putting green, and get an up-close look at a decked-out Apocalypse Hellfire 6×6 truck inspired by "Super Troopers 3." The pop-up will be open daily Friday, July 24 – Sunday, July 26 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Hasta Mañana Cantina, just a short walk from the San Diego Convention Center. It is free, and first come, first served. The snozzberries may taste like snozzberries, but apparently Comic-Con tastes like free pancakes. Visit: sdccblog.com/events-default/super-troopers-3-pop-up/

  • Learn Block Printing on Fabric! Thursday, July 16, 6-8:30 p.m. Learn the process of block printing on fabric in this beginner-friendly 2.5 hour workshop! Led by local-artist and printmaker Kasey Leung, you’ll be guided step-by-step through designing, carving, and hand-printing your very own original block. Use it to create a custom tote bag or tea towel in class – perfect for everyday use or a thoughtful handmade gift. We’ll explore simple pattern-building and placement techniques to help bring your design to life on fabric. The emphasis is on process over perfection, with plenty of room to experiment and enjoy making with your hands. No experience needed and all materials are provided. Feel free to come to class with ideas, inspiration, or printed reference images for printing – just keep in mind that your design will need to fit within a 4×6 inch block. You’ll leave with a finished textile piece and your carved block to take home, so you can keep printing and creating long after the workshops ends! Please note there is a materials fee of $5 paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class. This class is appropriate for ages 14+ years. • Military, first responders and sibling discounts • Scholarships available • Homeschool funds accepted • If this class is full, join the Interest List to be notified.
