Club América will face Cruz Azul as part of an international showcase at Snapdragon Stadium on Thursday, October 1. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT. Club América is led by newly appointed head coach Guillermo Almada, and they currently lead Liga MX’s Apertura 2026 season. The Club holds a record 16 domestic titles, highlighted by a historic three consecutive championships (Apertura 2023, Clausura 2024, and Apertura 2024). Cruz Azul earned the LIGA MX Clausura 2026 title earlier this year, under the leadership of Joel Huiqui who took over the Club in April 2026. The Club holds 10 league titles and shares the record for most Concacaf Champions Cup titles with seven, tied with Club América.
