Vendors are set up on both sides of North Park Way between 30th St and Granada Ave and on 29th St. There is a 6-story parking garage on 29th St and North Park Way. The Spreckels Organ Society and San Diego Civic Organist Raúl Prieto Ramírez presents thrilling organ solos and a concert version of The Phantom of the Opera with soprano Caroline Nelms and tenor Cole Tornberg, showcasing the Spreckels Organ – the largest open-air musical instrument in the world! Always free and open to the public – this concert with spooky lights, will also include eerie projections. Guests are also encouraged to come dressed in costume and take a photo on stage with the artists after the concert. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Balboa Park’s open-air venue, where performances bring a one-of-a-kind experience for guests. The elevated music venue brings world-class artists for San Diegans and visitors to enjoy for free. Parking in Balboa Park is free after 6:00 p.m. The Spreckels Organ Society is a nonprofit organization that curates concerts and performances at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion, located in the heart of Balboa Park. They also host weekly concerts every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Through the generosity of the City of San Diego, the weekly Spreckels Organ Society concerts are presented at no charge in accordance with the 1915 Deed of Gift, whereby the brothers John and Adolph Spreckels gave the Spreckels Organ and Pavilion to the City of San Diego. This fundraising event is held each year by Canyon Quilters of San Diego. A live auctioneer will be on hand at noon to bid on sewing machines and other items, along with a silent auction offering quilting services, a wine-tasting party, and a bread-making class. You'll find lots of handmade items, including napkins, placemats, ornaments, and pop-up containers. There are over 50 beautiful quilts and wall hangings for sale and lots of curated fabric bundles for the sewers and quilters on your holiday gift list. All proceeds help fund Canyon Quilters' year-long activities, as well as our philanthropy projects for foster youth in our community and the Paralyzed Veterans Association.
