After a successful introduction in 2024, Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista is bringing back a special "Pink & Popcorn" night marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a signature pink themed outdoor screening of "Wicked," paired with educational booths on local women's and breast health services, a special "Warrior Wall" honoring and remembering breast cancer patients and survivors and more. The free outdoor screening of this worldwide hit will be held Tuesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. in the center's Dining Pavilion. Starting at 5 p.m. that evening, guests can enjoy a live DJ spinning retro tunes, a "Power of Pink" themed photo booth, giveaways and prizes from Otay Ranch Town Center merchants and more. The center will be providing a variety of additional patio seating options; alcohol is not permitted. Key to the evening's lineup is the opportunity to spread awareness about vital services available from La Maestra Community Health Centers and their "Every Woman Counts" program and early detection awareness education from The Helen Knoll Foundation. Both organizations will host information stations with details on all locally available women's, family, cancer and other health services. The center will also host a "Warrior Wall" benefitting the Helen Knoll Foundation for the entire month of October with residents welcome to place a commemorative personalized pink ribbon to signify either someone currently battling breast cancer, a survivor or a loved one unfortunately lost to the disease. "Last year we were thrilled to create a new event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month harnessing the power of accessible education and a celebration of the warriors in this fight, while also bringing attention to the power of pink, hope and community when it comes to fighting this disease," said Otay Ranch Town Center General Manager Tim Kilcourse. "We welcome all our neighbors to come join us in a celebratory and uplifting event at the heart of our true town center," he added. Guests can begin sitting in provided seating in the Dining Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to partake in food from the weekly Farmers Market or take out from any number of the center's dining tenants. Both these magnificent works use extreme and glittering orchestral colors to represent the real colors of the world and the cosmos – dawn, sunlight, vast mountain views, sunset and the darkest night. As San Diegans respond to recent government actions through art, we look at how protest signs, zines and installations connect today’s movements to a long history of resistance.

The Sixties Show is from NYC and is The Greatest 1960’s Musical Re-Creation Show on Earth. The band features former band members of The Who and John Fogarty. This popular theater show is a cross generational crowd pleaser and has been selling out virtually every theater and performing arts center that the show plays at. The band is widely celebrated and known for re-creating spot on, note for note re-creations of the hits, B-sides and deep album cuts from the greatest songs of the 1960’s. In addition to the concert experience, this high energy show is a large scale and ambitious multi -media, stage production that is powerfully dramatized by a combination of time travel special effects, narration, 60’s archival audio and newsreel footage and a light show. The Sixties Show is a high energy trip back in time that reminds the audience how uniquely inspirational, entertaining, and historically significant the music and events of the 1960’s were and continues to be. All of the music is performed live, with no samples, backing tracks or prerecorded music of any kind. The band uses a state-of-the-art sound system but, only plays authentic 1960’s period vintage and re issue vintage gear and instrumentation just like original artist’s and original recordings. This combined with genuine 1960’s mod costumes that the band wears only add to the meticulous detail and authenticity of this popular and powerful theater show.
