The USS Carl Vinson is nothing if not versatile. The Associated Press is reporting the Vinson is “all but certain” to host a Veterans Day basketball game between Michigan State and the University of North Carolina:
Mike Whalen of the Morale Entertainment Foundation told The Associated Press that 40 to 50 people from his group, ESPN, the Navy and vendors will be at the ship on Monday and Tuesday for a site survey.
Home Post reported back in April that there was a chance either the USS Carl Vinson or the USS Ronald Reagan would host the game.
