Former San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders is headed south of the border this weekend on a three-day trip to Mexico City along with Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Council President Todd Gloria and other city leaders to discuss strengthening binational trade relationships.
On the agenda: a binational railroad, an enhanced driver's license program, funding for land ports of entry and comprehensive immigration reform.
Sanders joins KPBS Midday Edition for a conversation about the San Diego Chamber's Mexico Business Center 9th Annual California-Mexico Trade Initiative — plus: topics from the Balboa Park centennial to the city's affordable housing linkage fee.
