CALL THE MIDWIFE (Season 5) will be available in 2016 on DVD and Blu-ray. Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 are now available on DVD and Blu-ray on shopPBS.org. Additional items, including Jennifer Worth’s memoirs, published by Penguin Books, and "The Life and Times of Call the Midwife," published by Harper Collins, are also available.

Pippa Harris, executive producer for Neal Street Productions, said: “Heidi Thomas has written our most moving and enjoyable Holiday Special to date, filled with festive cheer, snow and, of course, newborn babies. We’re delighted that together with PBS we can share this holiday treat with all our U.S. fans.”

Festive spirit is in plentiful supply as Poplar gets ready for the holidays. A trip to see the Regent Street lights and a visit from a BBC film crew promise to make this 1960 Christmas one to remember. As the community pulls together to prepare for the televised carol concert, Nonnatus is rocked to the core when one of its own goes missing, causing a full-scale manhunt. Meanwhile an unexpected surprise for a grieving mother may help bring the Christmas magic home.
