Listen Live to KPBS Radio
NOTE: We have finished a number of updates to our live stream. If you previously bookmarked the stream URL or downloaded a .pls or .asx file, you will need to get the updated files/URL listed below. Thank you for your patience. These upgrades make KPBS Radio more widely accessible and improve stability.
Live Stream Flash Player
![]()
Clicking the player above will open a new window (requires Adobe Flash Player and Javascript-enabled browser). A brief message from one of our sponsors will play, followed by the live radio stream. The stream requires an Internet connection faster than dial-up.
Media Players
KPBS offers a stand-alone MP3 stream to enable listening from your computer if you cannot run Flash. Try using one of these players to listen:
- Windows Media Player - The .asx file plays in Windows Media Player.
- iTunes / Winamp / VLC - The .pls file will play in iTunes, Winamp, VLC Player or others that accept MP3 audio. To access KPBS in the iTunes Radio list, look under "News / Talk Radio." You may need to update iTunes to access this feature.
- Real Player - The .ram file will open with Real Player.
Internet Radio
If you use an Internet radio, enter the following address as the streaming source:

Mobile
KPBS is exploring ways to expand its streaming service to mobile devices. Complications arise from the wide variety of Internet-enabled hardware devices, operating systems, app features, broadband wireless carrier limitations, and network speeds. If you are interested in helping us test different devices, send Nathan Gibbs a message with details on your phone (carrier, model, operating system).
- iPhone users can listen using the Public Radio Player or NPR's iPhone app.
